Writing About Our Generation

View Original

Hey, how have the past 6 or 7 decades been going?

When we first started this site, the idea was to make it a conversation among an alert group of people who have shared some wild times and experiences. And we have succeeded in giving voice to a lot of interesting folks with a lot of interesting things to say about Our Generation—where we’ve been, where we, and the country, currently are and where we may be going.

However, to our disappointment, we have not yet succeeded in getting a much of a dialogue going. Some of this was the fault of the clunky, restrictive commenting software that came with this Squarespace blog.

So we have switched. We now use software from Disqus, which should, we hope, make it easier to agree, disagree, like or add your thoughts.

Please feel free to check the “I’d rather post as a guest” box after you start commenting. And don’t worry too much about their request for a name and email. You can write anything you want there. We promised: nobody will be contacting you.

But do let us know what you think about the hippies, our generation’s best athletes, the current political situation or anything else. Comment on our article or email us at WritingAboutOurGeneration@gmail.com with your ideas.

We could use even more perspectives.
